Gaylesville is located in Cherokee County in the northeast corner of the state near the Georgia border. The town has a total area of 0.35 square miles. Gaylesville is home to the Webb Chesnut House listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage. Nearby is Lake Weiss, often called the "Crappie Capital of the World."
