Dauphin Island is a barrier island located in the Gulf of Mexico, three miles south of Mobile Bay. Known as the “Sunset Capital of Alabama,” Dauphin Island is a popular vacation destination that offers beautiful beaches, recreational fishing, and several locally owned shops and seafood restaurants.
